When it comes to home decoration, it's common for people to accidentally get paint on their hands, clothes, or even furniture. If you're wondering how to effectively remove paint stains, here are some practical and easy-to-follow tips that can help you clean up without damaging your belongings.

1. If the paint is still wet, start by rubbing it gently with kerosene. After that, apply a small amount of diluted acetic acid (or regular vinegar if you don't have it). Finally, rinse the area with water to wash away the residue. However, if the paint has already dried, it becomes more challenging to remove. In such cases, you can try soaking the fabric in a mixture of 2.5 kg of water, 100 g of alkaline noodles, and a bit of lime for about 20 minutes. Once done, wash the clothes with soap, and the paint should come off easily. Keep in mind that this method might cause color fading, so it's best avoided for colored fabrics.

2. For accidental paint stains, using gasoline or banana water (ethyl acetate) may not be the best option as they can damage the fabric. A better alternative is to use a cooling oil. Apply a small amount of the oil on both sides of the stain and let it sit for a few minutes. Then, gently wipe the area with a cotton ball. This method works well without harming the fabric.

3. Many people turn to gasoline when they spot paint on their clothes, but wind oil can also be an effective solution. Simply apply a small amount of wind oil directly onto the stain and rub it with your fingers several times. The paint should begin to lift, and then you can rinse the area with water. Wind oil is just as effective as gasoline but has a much milder smell, making it a more pleasant choice.

4. Another helpful tip is to determine whether the paint is water-soluble or not. If it's water-soluble, simply washing it with water should do the trick. For water-insoluble paint, applying a bit of summer oil-repellent cooling oil can help dissolve the stain before rinsing with water. If you're dealing with nylon fabric, rubbing the stain with lard and then washing it with detergent can also work effectively.

5. Alcohol is great for removing water-based paints, but for oil-based or more stubborn stains, you'll need stronger solvents like gasoline, turpentine, xylene, cyclohexanone, or butyl ester. Always test any cleaning solution on a small, hidden area first to ensure it doesn’t damage the fabric.
