One outstanding representative is Wang Hao, the manager of the Acer Gas Station. With years of experience in the industry, he constantly thinks about what his customers need and how he can improve their experiences. He goes above and beyond to solve problems for them, ensuring that the spirit of Lei Feng lives on through every small, thoughtful action. One notable example involved a large cotton spinning factory with over 1,000 employees and more than 10 shuttle buses. The company had a centralized system for purchasing lubricants, which were then replaced by maintenance staff. When Wang Hao learned that the factory was struggling with a shortage of vehicles and had difficulty going out to buy supplies, he took the initiative to contact the factory’s management. He suggested that they could receive “Great Wall” lubricants delivered directly to their site. As a result, 300 kg of lubricant was delivered monthly to the factory for three consecutive years. The factory leaders were deeply impressed and praised Sinopec for not only providing quality products but also exceptional service. Another instance involved a university student undergoing an internship in Shandong. Due to the high cost and inconvenience of purchasing daily necessities, Wang Hao used the convenience store's advantages to organize and deliver all the necessary items for students each quarter, including washing supplies. This effort saved the school both time and money, and the teachers and students were very satisfied, even calling him “Lei Feng in blue work clothes.” Wang Hao also helped a familiar customer who was abroad and unable to refuel his vehicle’s fuel card. He advised the customer to transfer funds to the company’s account, allowing the station to charge the card on his behalf. The customer was extremely grateful, saying it was a huge help for his logistics team. This kind gesture became an informal policy, touching many customers’ hearts. On a snowy day in December 2013, when snowfall affected traffic across northern China, Wang Hao proactively sent text messages to Hebei-based customers, assuring them that the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway was clear. Many drivers responded by arriving early at the station, with one even thanking him for helping them earn an extra day’s profit. To address the issue of long waits for boiled water, Wang Hao purchased four large thermos bottles and filled them daily, placing them on the refueling island. This simple yet effective solution allowed drivers to enjoy hot water whenever they needed it, improving their overall experience and making the station a preferred stop. At the small Acer Gas Station on the Beijing-Shanghai Highway, Wang Hao introduced a fast and efficient service model. During peak hours, employees were trained to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring smooth operations and reducing waiting times. As a result, daily fuel sales increased significantly, from less than 10 tons to over 45 tons today. His dedication earned him recognition, including the title of “Top Ten Employees” by Shandong Petroleum Corporation and the honor of “Spiritual Civilization Construction Model (Advanced Individual)” from China Petrochemical Corporation. Wang Hao’s story is a true reflection of the values of care, service, and innovation. Through his efforts, he has not only brought happiness to customers but also inspired others to embrace the spirit of Lei Feng in their own ways.
