From the perspective of development and utilization, China's rare earth metal resources exhibit several distinct characteristics: 1) The distribution of rare earth reserves is highly concentrated, particularly in light rare earths. Although these resources are spread across six regions—North China, Northeast China, East China, Central South China, Southwest China, and Northwest China—they are mainly found in the Baiyun Obo iron and rare earth mining area in North China. This region accounts for about 95% of China’s total rare earth reserves and serves as the primary production base for light rare earths. 2) There is a clear geographical distinction between light and heavy rare earth reserves, often referred to as “north light and south heavy.†Light rare earths are predominantly found in northern China, while heavy rare earths are concentrated in the southern regions, especially around the Nanling Mountains. The adsorption-type medium and heavy rare earth ores in the south are relatively easy to extract and have become an important source of these materials. Additionally, weathering crust and coastal sedimentary sand deposits in the south contain xenotime, a key heavy rare earth mineral. Some tungsten deposits in southern Anhui, such as Xihuashan and Dangping, are associated with heavy rare earth minerals like xenotime, silicon germanium ore, strontium fluorite, and fluorocarbon calcium strontium ore, which can be recovered during the smelting process of tungsten. 3) Many rare earth deposits are associated with other minerals, offering significant potential for comprehensive utilization. Out of hundreds of discovered deposits, over two-thirds are co-associated minerals, making them valuable for multi-metal extraction. However, most deposits are complex in composition, with fine grain sizes, making them difficult to process. For example, the Bayan Obo deposit contains over 70 types of minerals, including rare earth-bearing minerals like monazite, bastnasite, and yellow river ore, which are symbiotic with iron ore. Despite their complexity, advancements in testing and processing have improved concentrate grades and recovery rates, making this area a key supplier of light rare earths in China. 4) China possesses a vast variety and large reserves of rare earth minerals, providing a strong foundation for the development of its rare earth industry. Proven rare earth reserves exceed 100 million tons, with significant untapped potential. All 17 rare earth elements have been identified, with 16 having known natural minerals. Through metallurgical processes, 16 of these elements have been successfully extracted from ore minerals. This has led to the production of hundreds of rare earth products, meeting domestic demand and supporting a major export sector, contributing significantly to China’s economy. Notably, many rare earth resources are concentrated in specific provinces, often within associated deposits. More than 80% of rare earth reserves are located in Guangdong, Yunnan, Jilin, Sichuan, and Shanxi, primarily within lead-zinc, copper, and coal deposits. Gallium reserves are largely concentrated in Shanxi, Henan, Guangxi, and Guizhou, mainly associated with bauxite. Indium is mostly found in lead-zinc and copper polymetallic deposits in Yunnan, Guangxi, Inner Mongolia, and Qinghai, accounting for 87% of China’s total indium reserves. Tantalum is mostly linked to molybdenum deposits, particularly in Shaanxi, Henan, Jilin, and Heilongjiang, where it makes up nearly 90% of the national reserves. Strontium is also highly concentrated, with over 90% of reserves found in the Jinping lead-zinc deposit in Yunnan. While cadmium and selenium are more widely distributed, they are still found in association with other minerals across multiple provinces. Whether in concrete ceilings, low-ceiling spaces, or rooms without ceiling cavities, LED surface mounted downlights provide professional-grade lighting with stylish presence. As a specialized LED lighting manufacturer, we produce a wide range of surface ceiling downlights that deliver uniform brightness, easy installation, and minimal maintenance. From contemporary homes and offices to retail shops and galleries, our non-recessed LED lights are designed to meet both design and functional requirements. A surface mounted downlight is a ceiling light fixture that is installed directly onto the surface of the ceiling, rather than being embedded into it like a Recessed Downlight. These fixtures are ideal for locations where: There’s no space for cut-outs, such as concrete ceilings Quick installation is needed without structural modifications Architectural or decorative visibility is desired They are often cylindrical, square, or box-shaped, and available in various sizes, beam angles, and finishes. Most use high-efficiency LED technology for long life, low energy use, and excellent light quality. Surface mounted LED lights attach directly to ceilings, walls, or structural beams—no hollow space is needed above. These lights serve both functional and decorative roles, with bold shapes and finishes to complement interior design. Unlike recessed lights, surface-mounted units can be accessed without removing ceiling panels—ideal for commercial or rental spaces. All our models use SMD or COB LEDs, offering up to 80% energy savings and consistent performance over 50,000+ hours. Choose from round, square, or rectangle bodies with various beam angles, color temperatures, and dimming options.
