Control scheme for lifting stage computer control system





As we all know, stage lifting platforms are constantly in motion during performances, and their speed and accuracy of movement directly impact the overall quality of the show. Therefore, the control system must be both precise and reliable. However, most stage lifts currently used in China rely on manual controls or simple microcontroller systems, which suffer from low automation levels and unpredictable performance parameters. This can lead to inconsistencies and even safety issues during live shows.

1. Control Objects and Requirements

The system is designed to control seven screw-type lifting platforms. The specific requirements include:

a. Each platform can travel ±2 meters;
b. The platform can automatically stop at any pre-set position within the travel range;
c. The combination of the seven platforms can be selected arbitrarily.

2. Control Plan

The screw-type lifting platform is driven by a motor that rotates the lead screw. This rotation moves the nut fixed on the platform, causing linear motion. The total gear ratio is 18.52, with a lead screw pitch of 32 mm. This means each full rotation of the motor results in a 1.7 mm movement of the platform. We have placed four sampling points on the motor shaft, so each counting unit corresponds to a 0.4 mm movement.

In the control system, the computer sends a signal to the motor controller, activating the motor. Data collected from sensors on the motor shaft is compared with the preset values and data from other platforms. This allows the system to determine the position and motion parameters of each platform and make necessary adjustments. When the platform approaches the target position, the computer slows down the motor to ensure a smooth and precise stop.
