How many degrees of air compressor oil failure?
I use Sullair compressors, and I've noticed that the temperature is often quite high. But how much oil loss can actually cause this issue?
Adoption
Normally, the screw compressor will automatically shut down when the temperature reaches 110°C. However, if the machine continues to run at temperatures above 100°C for an extended period, both users and service technicians should take immediate action. It's important to check whether the radiator is clogged or if the oil circulation system is functioning properly. A faulty temperature control valve, an aged oil filter, a blocked return line, or any other issue in the oil circuit can lead to poor air circulation, causing the screw head to overheat. If not addressed quickly, this can result in serious damage.
Moreover, as the screw oil degrades over time, it loses its ability to cool and lubricate effectively, which can ultimately damage the screw head and other critical components of the air compressor.
