Material and Characteristics of Prestressed Steel Strands

Prestressed steel strands are made of high carbon steel wire rods. After surface treatment, they are cold-drawn into steel wires. The main features are high strength and good relaxation performance, and it is more straight when deployed. Common tensile strength rating is 1860 megapascals, as well as strength levels such as 1720, 1770, 1960, 2000, 2100 megapascals.
